Meet Dr Mallika Rupani

Dr. Mallika Rupani

Dr. Mallika Rupani graduated from NYU in 2015 finishing at the top 10% of her class with honors in implants and was inducted to the national dental honor society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon (OKU). She was awarded the Outstanding student in implant dentistry in 2015. She grew up in India and went to dental school there, where she graduated in 2009 and then moved to the US in 2010. She relentlessly pursued a dental education here in the US, went through dental school again because dentistry is her passion.

Dr. Rupani is committed to providing the highest quality of dental care in a comfortable setting. She is an advocate for saving teeth when she can but also seeks to understand the patient’s needs and desires first. She understands how it feels to be self-conscious of your smile because she once was that person.

Her goal is to provide you with a smile that you feel confident in and prevent any tooth loss. Dr. Rupani has been providing quality dental care to the community of South Charlotte since last 7+ years. When not with patients, Dr. Rupani loves to spend time with her husband, 2 toddler boys and work out.

Personal story by Dr. Rupani about why she choose to become a Dentist.

As a 13 year old I had braces for a long time for which I had four permanent teeth extracted. I was the worst patient, screaming the entire procedure but luckily for me, my dentist was caring and comforting. I could have grown up with dental anxiety, fearing the dentist but because my orthodontist was so kind and made the appointment almost fun, the visits eventually became something I looked forward to and gradually grew curious about. Once my braces came off, teeth became the only thing I would notice in other people. I knew then that I had to be a dentist and I had to deliver care in a way that makes it easier for the patient to receive it.
